About the job:
Remote or Onsite · Reports to Senior Social Content Creator
OVERVIEW:
The Social Content Creator is a hands-on creative responsible for bringing company stories, news and communications priorities to life through engaging, social-first content. With a strong emphasis on video and visual storytelling, this role creates content designed specifically for how audiences consume and engage across social platforms.
Working as part of an integrated creative pod, the Social Content Creator partners with Social Strategy, Content Editors, Integrated Producers and other creative team members to turn ideas and communications objectives into compelling social content. This person should be comfortable moving fluidly from concept to creation — shooting video, editing footage, creating social graphics and adapting content into different formats and platform-specific executions.
This is an early-career role. We're looking for someone with 1–3 years of experience at an advertising agency or corporate in-house creative studio who has already built a body of independent, conceptual work — content you dreamed up and made yourself, not only assets produced against someone else's brief. Success here means producing high-quality, relevant content quickly, bringing strong creative instincts, social fluency and hands-on production skills to the work while maintaining brand and communications standards.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Concept and create social-first content across video, photography, graphics and other visual formats
Shoot, edit and produce short-form and vertical video for social channels and broader communications needs
Translate creative concepts, communications priorities and social strategies into engaging visual stories
Create social graphics, cards, motion assets and other digital content using established brand systems and templates
Adapt larger stories, campaigns and content into channel-appropriate social executions and derivative assets
Partner with the Social Media Strategist, Content Editors and other creatives to develop ideas and determine the strongest way to tell each story
Work within an integrated creative pod led by Producers, taking assignments from concept through finished creative
Capture timely content around company events, executives, employees, milestones and other communications moments
Manage multiple assignments and quick-turn requests while maintaining strong creative quality and attention to detail
Incorporate feedback efficiently and ensure final assets meet brand, accessibility, technical and required review standards
WHAT MAKES YOU QUALIFIED:
1–3 years of experience in social content creation, video production, digital creative, design or a related creative discipline, at an advertising agency or corporate in-house creative studio. (Open to Entry Level based on portfolio)
A portfolio of social-first content — particularly short-form and vertical video — that you conceived and created independently, not only work produced against someone else's brief
Hands-on experience shooting and editing video, with a foundational understanding of lighting, composition, sound and storytelling
Solid visual design skills, comfortable creating graphics and other digital/social assets
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva/Figma and/or comparable video, motion and design tools
Working knowledge of major social platforms, content formats and emerging creative trends
Ability to translate a message or idea into compelling visual content, rather than simply executing against detailed creative direction
Comfortable working across multiple creative formats and adapting quickly to different types of assignments
Strong attention to detail with the ability to work quickly in a deadline-driven communications environment
Collaborative, flexible and comfortable both owning creative execution and working as part of an integrated team
