About the Job
Empower AI is seeking a SharePoint / Web Developer to build and maintain solutions on the enterprise collaboration platform and public-facing web content for a Department of War agency.
The developer will deliver custom solutions using Microsoft 365, Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint Framework (SPFx), JavaScript/TypeScript, and maintain front-end and back-end web content. The role also requires compliance with Government coding standards, Section 508 accessibility, and responsive design principles.
Work is managed through an Agile framework, with stakeholder demonstrations and acceptance. The position requires independent problem-solving and judgment.
Job Duties:
Design, develop, test and maintain Microsoft 365 / Power Platform solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint Online, SPFx and JavaScript/TypeScript.
Automate business processes and improve user experience.
Maintain front-end and back-end Government web content using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Adobe Creative Suite.
Ensure applications meet Section 508, responsive design and Government coding standards.
Prepare VPATs when required.
Support the modernized IT Service Portal by developing portal components, forms and knowledge features.
Maintain technical documentation, solution designs, data governance and security settings.
Work within an Agile environment with stakeholder demonstrations and acceptance.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree + 4 years of related experience; an additional 4 years of experience may substitute for the degree.
U.S. Citizen.
Current DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level I baseline certification.
Active Secret Clearance required to start.
Ability to obtain Top Secret eligibility if required.
Minimum 3 years of enterprise web or Power Platform development experience.
Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript and modern front-end development.
Hands-on experience with Power Apps, Power Automate and SharePoint Online/SPFx.
Experience with Section 508 / WCAG 2.x compliant web applications.
Agile development experience.
Experience with a web content management system and Adobe Creative Suite.
Strong problem-solving, documentation and communication skills.
Desired Skills:
Microsoft Power Platform Developer Associate / Functional Consultant certification.
Microsoft 365 Developer Associate certification.
Experience with Microsoft 365 GCC High, Dataverse, Power BI embedding and Microsoft Graph API.
Experience with AFPIMS or DoD public-facing web platforms.
Department of War/DoD or compliance-driven Federal IT experience.
ServiceNow Service Portal and knowledge-base experience.
CompTIA Security+ CE certification.
