Applied AI Data Analyst – Confido

Confido is an AI infrastructure company powering modern CPG operations. Its platform is used by 200+ brands, including OLIPOP, Simple Mills, Dr. Squatch and Tropicana, to manage areas ranging from deductions and production planning to finance, accounting, sales and operations.

The Role:
As an Applied AI Data Analyst, you will bridge large, unstructured financial and operational datasets with the company's core R&D team.
You will own the evaluation platform for agentic AI workflows and forecasting pipelines, while developing customer-facing insights that support important business decisions.
The role sits within the Applied AI Research department, with opportunities to progress into senior data science and AI/ML engineering roles.
What You'll Do:
Algorithm & LLM Evaluation: Analyze model predictions, edge cases, hallucination rates and extraction accuracy for LLM-powered document processing and agentic workflows.
Root Cause Analysis: Investigate complex financial and enterprise datasets to determine why extraction and time-series models succeed or fail.
Golden Dataset Curation: Build and maintain gold-standard datasets for automated AI-agent and forecasting-model evaluation.
Performance Monitoring & Evals: Build dashboards, data transformations and evaluation systems to monitor model performance, system health and model drift.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with AI engineers, product managers and business operations teams to turn real-world problems into quantitative insights.
Required Qualifications:
Graduate degree — M.S. or Ph.D. — in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics or a related STEM field.
2–4 years of experience in quantitative data analysis or AI evaluation.
Experience working with AI/ML R&D teams.
Strong Python skills and hands-on experience with AI/ML models.
Strong SQL and enterprise data infrastructure knowledge, including PostgreSQL, Snowflake, dbt and AWS.
Strong analytical ability to transform noisy, unstructured data into rigorous insights.
Nice to Have:
Experience with LLM observability, tracing and evaluation frameworks such as LangSmith, Arize AI or TruLens.
Experience with agentic workflows or multi-agent orchestration.
Knowledge of demand forecasting, time-series models or statistical modelling.
Experience working in a fast-moving, high-growth startup environment.
